    Hi,

Just bought a samsung ext LED monitor for, I guess, expanding my desktop on FCP (for Canvas.)
Although, is there some other way of previewing??? (WEB delivery mostly)

    Anyway,

When I launch FCP with it plugged in I get a prompt stating “The effect ‘HSV Adjust’ cannot be rendered, blah, blah with the current graphics card.”

Also, my timelines in opened project need rendering again.

    media: Pro res 422

Only happens when monitor plugged in.

Not sure what settings to change this. If any.

    thank you.

There are many effects that are rendered by the GPU instead of the CPU.
The new monitor is fed by the GPU too, and is using some of his resources.
With the new monitor your GPU is overload.
In short, you need a better GPU to cope with all the work.
