    External monitor question

    I am currently using a dual monitor scenario in my studio. My question is, does Vegas need a DV device hooked up to utilize the external monitor feature or can Vegas output to a full screen 19″ LCD monitor without it? I am currently using the Vegas preview window on my second LCD however I do not get the proper resolution to actually work efficiently. Can this be done???

    Vegas 6 can use a secondary monitor for previewing. Otherwise you’ll need to use firewire for an external preview.

    How do you set this up without using the external preview feature?? Are you talking about using the preview window at a larger size??

    No. In Vegas 6, go to Options – Preferences – Preview tab and pick the proper device.
