  External Missing From My Devices

  I am working on a MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Quad Core i7 on Final Cut Pro 7 and for some reason when I try to import files into a project, my 1TB Lacie External Hard Drive no longer shows up in My Devices. The External still shows up in the Finder Dialogue Box as well as in other programs (Photoshop) but not in FCP. In order to import files from the drive I have to type in the name and search for it. This isn’t too big of a hassle I just have no idea why it’s no longer showing up in My Devices. If anyone has any ideas/thoughts on how to correct this please let me know.
