External Missing From My Devices
I work on a MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Quad Core i7 laptop on Final Cut Pro 7 and for some reason when I try to import files from my 1 TB Lacie External, the hard drive is no longer showing up under My Devices. In the Finder Dialogue Box as well as other programs (Photoshop) the external is still showing under my devices but no longer in FCP. In order to import files I have to search for the drive by typing in the name. This isn’t too big of a hassle but I’ve never had to deal with this before and it just started doing it today. If anyone has experienced this or has any solutions/thoughts on the issue please let me know. Thank you.

Hi Jon,
In Final Cut Pro, after you have searched for the HD have you tried dragging it into the left column where it usually shows up? I have had this problem randomly pop up on me too, but not in FCP, just in the normal finder window.
