External HDD and SSD purchases
I’m curious to know which retailers are most preferred for purchasing external HDD and SDD’s. I’m on the west coast and am curious to know if there’s a preference over the usual B&H/Amazon/Best Buys. All new suggestions are welcome.

why do you care ? They are all the same. Amazon and B&H take back broken stuff. Many dealers want you return back to the manufacturer. You are buying products from Western Digital, Seagate or Samsung. (maybe Toshiba). No one is going to treat you “special” and give you free tech support. Other good web dealers are Provantage, Newegg, and OWC. But there are lots of good dealers. You order on line, and your stuff shows up. What are you looking for – personalized attention ? This is called a Value Added Reseller. And you pay for this service.

I try to buy local for that kind of stuff of late.
Sure you can get some deals online but my area needs support.
