external hd will not show up
I have an external lacie 120 gb hd connected by firewire and a dual 1 ghz g4. My hd will not show up on the desktop or anywhere else. I’ve checked my system preferences and I don’t see a problem and I’ve also run disk utiltiy and that did nothing. Any suggestions on what to do next?

in disk utility will it let you force mount it
will it mount on another computer

I connected it to another computer and it mounted onto the desktop immediately. It will not let me force mount it in disk utility.

douse disk utility see the drive at all, if not then most likely it is the port on the computer
do other firewire drives show up
