External HD problem
I currently working on a project using Premiere Pro 7. I use a 250GB Lacie external HD and am on two workstations. When I move from one to the other I have to relink media and reconform the audio on all the files. Is there anyway to avoid this because its taking about 20 minutes reconforming the files from one project.

Premiere Pro 7 is a crack, not a legitimate release.
We really do not support illegitimate users as we are a site dedicated to media professionals who make their living with these tools and therefore, buy them.

Yikes – well, I hate to butt in on the Boss, but the original Premiere Pro didn’t have a number. Stupid marketing trick that backfired. However, they forgot to tell the Engineers who wrote the software, so when you install it, it leaves a version 7.0 marker all over the place.
When version 1.5 came out, everyone started referring to the original version (remember, no number) as 1.0 even though it really wasn’t.
Confused yet? Sorry. But there is a good chance that this particular version 7 is what I just described, version 1.0 in disguise.

You need to ensure that the drive letters are the same on both systems.

You may be right on the money here, but if I recall, many 6.5 users called it 7 simply because it made sense.
Even Amazon called it 7: https://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Premiere-Pro-7-0-Windows/dp/B0000AJXWP
It just strikes me that if he wanted to use a pirated version, he could probably find something more up to date 😉
