  External hd playback preview

  I have an iMac and I need to preview my hd timeline on external large plasma display.
  I’m not sure if Blackmagic DVI EXTENDER (connected to mini dvi iMac port) plus HD LINK PRO give to me what I need.
  Can you help me?
