External HD issue
I hope this isn’t way off topic for this forum but I assume most people here use external hard drives… I have a Seagate 150GB external that I used with my Dell. Now I have the G5 and want to use the footage stored on the Seagate. The drive was readable at first but after few uses it is not readable any longer. Nor is it readable on my Dell! Both machines say I need to format the drive… I need this footage! Any utility out there that I can get to access this data?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Since its formated for the PC, no MAC utilities will help. Your best hope might be to try running Windows Error Checking on the drive if it wil run. So, from MY Computer right click on the drive in question and under the Tools Tab you will see Error Checking. Try checking the first box only and see if it will run. It may need a reboot in order to run if it runs at all. Its possible that it just might fix your issue at least temporarily.
