Using FCP on new intel macbook pro. I have a Lacie Bigger Extreme drive for my studio set-up, wondering if anyone has suggestions for a smaller, more portable (and less expensive) drive for my laptop. Thanks

The G-raid (and associated products with varying speed/size) are excellent – and quick. Also rugged and nice to look at next to MBP!

I use the drives by Lacie that are the silver ones designed by Porsche. They only have FW400, but are plenty fast for DV editing. (Which I may be incorrectly assuming is the mainstay on your laptop). You can get them cheapest directly from Lacie.

Both those drives look great. Has anyone has used the LaCie all-terrain 100gb, 7200rpm for editing on the run?
