External hard drives
Posted by Joseph Soul on October 17, 2011 at 4:09 pmI have an early version of Premiere Pro. Can I use an external drive on which to capture video clips?

October 18, 2011 at 3:37 pmSure. Just point the capture scratches for video and audio to custom and set to a folder on the external drive. This has actually been recommended practice. Usb 2 will suffice for DV, going to HD will require usb 3 or esata or firewire 800. External/internal RAID is better 🙂
