I am in desperate need of a good and fast external hard drive, that I can work off of.
I use Final Cut Pro for my video editing. I only have one

external hard with the USB connection with all my file in there, which I feel it would die on me any minute.

I have been looking at Lacie 500G, Iomega 500GB UltraMax Desktop Hard Drive and LaCie 320GB mini Hard Drive & Hub (which is not enough space but the Hub???)

    ASAP feedbacks are truly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    never buy a Lacie drive.
I see that by purchasing products like Lacie and Iomega, you probably go to the local office supply store to purchase these products. DO NOT DO THIS. Buy professional products from professional dealers. Even disount houses that are in OUR PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS.

It is hard for me to recommend a drive, if you have not told us what computer you have. My first recommendation is to purchase an external SATA drive, but I don’t know your computer, so I can’t tell you what to purchase. Companies like Cal Digit and G-Tech are among many good companies to purchase single external SATA drives from.

    Thanks Bob.

I am using Mac OS X 10.4.5. (only have about 11Gb left on it)
So I do need to keep my projects in the hard drive and work from there. I am having difficulty rendering or sometimes the play back. I thought it might be because of the USB connection.

(This hard was a Lacie and I had to change the case beacuse the bridge failed in only 13month of work)

When I posted my message I received an email with the subject “Your post has been relocated”. So I assume they found a more fitted location???????

Well, sorry to waist your time. Any suggestion for a proper place to get feedbacks?
