    Hello CreattiveCow members:

This is my most important post to date. Over the weekend I mistakenly powered down my external hard drive (LACIE/Porsche 500gb) without properly ejecting it. The reason; an error message appeared, it was making up some weird start-up clicking noises and DID NOT appear on the desktop.

When I powered it up again, the drive appeared on my desktop. However, when I opened my FCP5 porject, all the Media is OFFLINE (lots o work) and an error message appeared of course saying since the extHD was not ejected properly the media is either lost or corrupted.

Therefore, please… anyone… please tell me how I recover this project so I can just finish it. I am honestly nervous to touch it til I find some guidnace and support. Thanks.

The first thing I would do is not touch the LaCie, leave it mounted and spinning, until I could get another drive and copy everything off it.

    All the best,

    Tom
