external hard drive for editing
Hi guys, am currently making a documentary. Have 60 hours footage, will end up with about 80. Filmed on a Sony FX1 in high definition.
I want to buy an external hard drive for capturing and editing.
I may capture footage at home on Adobe Premier (windows xp)if it works as it would be a lot more convenient for me to do from home, or at work on final cut pro, and then edit all of it on final cut pro.
Just not sure what is best in an external drive.I was looking at something like the Western Digital 1TB My Book Home External Hard Drive. This one has usb 2.0 firewire 400 and esata. Would this be applicable?? Or do i need something more expensive, robust, reliable etc
Would there be any problems capturing the footage on Adobe Premier and then editing on a mac/final cut pro?Sorry for any ignorance here. I’m not sure what is best.
