External Frames in FCP greyed out
Hello…
I am using AJA IO LA and when I start up Final Cut Pro, I get a message saying it is “Unable to locate the following external devices: ProIO – NTSC US – Component YPbPr SMPTE/N10 – 8-bit 422 (720 x…”
I tell it to Check Again, but it won’t let me go on, so I choose to Continue.
In the sequence, I cannot view anything on my monitor. I checked VIEW > EXTERNAL FRAMES, but the rest of the options are greyed out and I cannot choose to play ALL FRAMES.
I have no idea why this happened all of a sudden. Was working fine before. I restarted the computer, but I still get the same result. What am I doing wrong?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Check your firewire cable. Do you have any other firewire devices connected? If so, you need to separate the io from that firewire device with a PCI card or PCMCIA card.
If the answer to above is no, then:
Uninstall and reinstall the drivers. *warning* this will trash any easy setups you created as well as your FCP prefs.

I’m sorry to sound stupid, but I’m pretty new to Macs…
Could you tell me how to uninstall the AJA driver?
I wanted to make sure before I messed up anything else.
