  • External compositing tag on Spline Wrap object

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I’m trying to create an external compositing tag for an object that is a child of an object that is on a spline wrap. (long story short, a sign on the side of a train, the spline wrap serving as the path/tracks of the train).

However, when I render the scene, the null created in the .aec file is in the original position of the object before it is effected by the spline wrap (i.e., it is stationary and doesn’t follow the path of the train along the spline wrap). however, I created on object buffer for the same object (the sign, to use to composite video on top of in post) and the object buffer follows precisely.

Any thoughts on how I can get that external compositing null to follow the path of the animation so i don’t have to hand track the object in after effects/mocha?

    Thanks all!

Did you forget to check the box to include the 3d data in your render save settings?
