Extening a clip on the timeline.
Posted by Terrence Fanning on March 17, 2011 at 12:20 amHow do I extend a clip on the timeline in between 2 other clips without affecting the length of both clips?

March 17, 2011 at 1:22 pmYou have to move the clips behind to leave room for the extension.
Click-drag the tail of the clip to fill the gap.

March 17, 2011 at 4:41 pmor bring up the Trim Edit window and click on the side that you want to extend, then it’ll shove the other side along the timeline to make room (I think that’s what you’re after)

(Check out slip, slide and roll while you’re at it. Very useful.)
