  extended characters missing when importing batch list

  I’ve just started importing batch lists from DV Log-X. For some reason, the asterisk character * doesn’t show up in the log comment field. I’ve checked the text file that I’ve exported from DV Log-X, and the * is there alright. (I’ve been using *** to rate clips in the middle of transcribing long interviews.) Any guesses?

  While I’m at it: is there a limit on the length of the comment field in FCP? Any good tips on where/how to keep track of large blocks of transcribed text in FCP? I’ve just started using DV Log-X and so far it seems to handle the job.
