    Hello all,

The problem is this: I have a glassy material on which I need to reflect footage upon the surface – so this footage is on a plane which is invisible to camera but seen by reflection.

However if I turn on the reflection channel on the material, it stops my very nice studio lighting working on the environment channel.

I cannot use this as a sky object as there are already tertiary reflections coming from this!

Has anyone had experience of the reflection and environment channels conflicting?

I think maybe I need a multipass but I don’t know much about setting these up.

    Thanks,

    Stuart

By default there is an “Exclusive” box checked in the environment channel. That prevents environment reflections from appearing where real (raytraced) reflections show up. If you uncheck the box you can mix real and enviro reflections — but you’ll have to turn down the reflection channel so it isn’t at 100%.

Thank you very much, I shall implement this tomorrow!
