    I have a quicktime from 1-20 frames. I would like to create 8 keyframes values like let’s say 1=A 2=B 3=C …
So when I type the value 1 it refers to A that refers to a script that says ‘play the original quicktime from frame 1 to 4 and loop it until another value is added.

The technique is for this idea: I have some drawing of a character face. I have different mouths expressions. I want either to smile, close, etc. each facial expression is made of 4 line drawings to keep it alive. For those who remember Dr. Katz on tv, with the jittery line quality. I want to make a quicktime with all those facials expressions, then been abble to pick which one is best for the moment.

I love expressions, but I am really not good, though I understsand the logic sometimes…

You’d have to use time remapping and a lot of conditional statements. Quite frankly your idea seems hairbrained and I wouldn’t bother with any expressions – creating the code will be complex and prone to errors (you’d have to have at least one if(){} statement for each pose, which could be a lot). Either keyframe the time remap directly or use different clips.
