I’m interested in creating an effect where a big circle attracts surrounding smaller circles to it (like gravity to a planet) and sit on it’s surface and react naturally to each other as they would in real life ie. if one hits another it will bounce off it until they all settle into place on the big circles surface.

Similar to how the attractor works in C4D (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvR8wIC5FMw) but I’d just like to use 2D objects and do it directly in AE if possible.

Would Newton be the best solution?

A couple of quick graphics to aid my question:
