Expression to Read Timecode of main / outer comp

I have a video with some User Interface animations.
I want to include a time code on all the instances of that GUI,
BUT… I don’t want it to read its own comp’s TC (beacuse this would be 00:01 and going… and then next time it will also start from 00:00)It should read the main / outside comp’s time code, i.e. the real time code of the video.
The GUI itself is nested about 5 comps deep in the “main” comp.Is there an effect combined with an expression that can pull this off ?

I can’t think of any way to do that. It sounds like possibly you want different layer instances of the same precomp to display different information at the same frame. If so, that’s a dead end.
