    How would I put an expression onto the scale of a layer.. so that when I change the radius of my ccsphere..

    It scales up and down accordingly..

    I was thinking about using a linear expression.. but I’m tied to high and low levels..

    any help greatly appreciated

    I’m having trouble figuring out what your objective is. Do you want to change the radius, but have the apparent size of the sphere remain the same?

    Sorry if I’ve confused you..

    I have a sphere which I have mapped an earth texture to…

    I’ve created a solid and masked round the edge of the earth to give it some atmosphere..

    I want to up the radius on ccSphere and the scale of the solid goes with it.

    basically constraining the solids scale to the cc spheres radius

    thanks for the reply

    You could base it on the initial value of the radius (the value of the radius when you created your atmosphere layer–here I have assumed it is the default 200):

    r = thisComp.layer(“Yellow Solid 1”).effect(“CC Sphere”)(“Radius”);
    initVal = 200;
    value*r/initVal
