    Hi there !

I was wondering if you could help me with this :

I have to repeat over and over again one same action in different ae files and so I was hoping to paste an expression to get it done a lot faster.

I want to transform specific layer’s scale so they fit 100% of their container, (so the composition in which they are).

Usually I would go to layer’s scale properties, right click, edit value, % of composition, and add 100%. But god that’s long..

Is there anyway to get it done with an expression ?

    Thanks a lot !!

    Hi !

it’s not an expression, but there is a shortcut to adjust a layer to the size of its composition :
select your layer and press ctrl+alt+F (if the layer isn’t homothetic to its composition it will be deformed).

if you prefer using expression (more control, and you’ll be able to keep proportions of your layer), there is thread about it here :

    hope this help !

[crasse deux] “it’s not an expression, but there is a shortcut to adjust a layer to the size of its composition :
select your layer and press ctrl+alt+F (if the layer isn’t homothetic to its composition it will be deformed).”

Additionally, Ctrl+Alt+G will fit a layer within the comp by height, and Ctrl+Alt+H will fit a layer within the comp by width. (Substitute Cmd for Ctrl on a Mac.)
