Expression for Camera Z-Rotation
Hi,
I’ve got a very difficult problem to solve. What it’s about:
I’m moving a non-parented camera over a map in various directions and hights.
The problem is that the camera is not keeping it’s angle to the landscape. So when it moves on the opposite side of the map everything is up-side-down.Parenting to a null is not the solution because other expression between camera and objects don’t work at all. Auto-orienting off on the camera isn’t the solution either.
The way I’m solving the problem right now is by Brut Force: I created a layer with concentric circles that is moving just in X and Y space with the camera. With these circles I can tune the Z-Rotation of the camera – when they are right in the middle of the camerafield the camera is stable.
But this costs a load of time and is to fuzzy by far for my taste!
So I wonder if there might be a expression that keeps controle over the Z-Rotation of a camera in that way.
I’m a forward starter on expressions but here I reach my limits. I guess I was missing during trigonometrie lessons 😉
I’m thankful for any help from you guys! Chears,
