  • Expression for bringing a spinning 2D shield onto screen from zspace.

    Hi

I have a shield psd and would like to bring the shield spinning on its X axsis into frame and land facing camera. The direction the shield will come from will be the Z axis.

Also is there way of making it look more 3D whilst spinning?

Any expressions or methods for doing this realistically?

    Cheers

You could just keyframe the rotation and position. For example, if it takes 1 second for the shield to animate on, go forward one second, set a keyframe for position and rotation (not orientation) then go back to the beginning, drag the shield shape way back in z-space and set the x rotation to something like -10x and adjust that for how fast you want it to go.

Unless I’m misunderstanding you, you don’t need an expression. Though you could use something like time*50 if you wanted it to keep spinning forever.
