    Hey,

I’m trying to animate a series of baloon (helium plastic baloon for kids – don’t know the name of it I hope you see what I mean.) Ballons are floating in the air, elevating in the sky.
I’m looking for an expression fot their movement.

    Anyone has any idea.

    Thanks

    Matthieu

Not sure what kind of movement your looking for but it sounds like you could use a simple wiggle on the X and Z, and maybe a little in orientation, while moving it up in the Y to achieve that natural floating look. example of a wiggle would be,

    wiggle(1,10)

1 = how many times a second it wiggles
10=the amount of the wiggle in pixels or degrees depending on your property.

    Thanks I’ll try that.

And I’m using a dan herbert’s undulation expression (found on motionscript) for the rotation to give a more floating aspect.

But actually the way i would go about it ( if you have particular ) is just make your balloon a single custom particle and you can control the gravity/wind physics/direction and turbulant field more realistically.
