Expression Brightness Value
I’m trying to tie the brightness value of a tga sequence to the intensity value of a light. can anyone help point me in the direction of determining the brightness value of a pixel or specific section of an image??

You need third-party plugins, namely a color sampler. Try Digital Anarchy’s Arnachy Toolbox or look for Useful Things or Bresnev Shu’s Expression Effects, the latter two being hard to come buy since not longer easily available.
