I’m editing a project on Media Composer 7.

My Quicktime exports are darker and with a higher contrast than they are in they are in MC monitors and the original footage, which is 24p HVX footage (mxf files).

    Export settings:
    send to qt
    custom codec
    RGB
    1280×720

I’m on OSX 10.9.4 with the new mac pros (3.7 GHz Quad-Core processor).

    Any ideas?

What is the “custom codec?” and why RGB? It should be YUV.

The Avid interface isn’t color accurate…the preview and program monitors in Avid are brighter than what the footage really looks like. To ensure the editors see what they are doing. For color accuracy, you need an IO device and HDTV or broadcast monitor.
