I select the edit in FCPX’s project library and export via FILE / EXPORT XML

I switch to Resolvego CONFIRM / TIMELINE MANAGEMENT / LOAD

I see the file in the import box but it is Greyed out.

Did you check if your XML has the .xml extension ?

Hi Christopher ….. changed the file from .fcpxxml to .xml and now the file is no longer greyed out and I can select to import in DaVinci ….. however now I am getting “Invalid FCP XML FIle”.

    Perhaps small progress?

Yes both FCPX and Resolve are up to date

It should work with the .fcpxml extension.
Try building a new sequence. Just put some random stuff in there and export a new FCPXML file.

Even better – share the FCPXML with us to see if any of us can import it.

Do the original source files need to be moved? I surmise that Resolve should be able to link to the original source footage on my RAID through the XML file correct?
