Exporting XML crashing FCP 7…just when I was trying to escape!
Finally fully giving up on FCP 7, so went to export an XML of a project just under 2 hours and it crashes. Any ideas/solutions? (I thought this XML would be my escape from FCP 7 so I could go to FCP X…but the gates are locked!)

Okay – I took external hard drive to an older mac computer and I was able to export an XML, but one question: the timeline was for some reason no longer rendered. Will this affect the XML that I exported, or will it be fine as I use 7 to x(send to x) and then import into FCP X?

rendered or not, it shouldn’t make a difference for what you’re doing.

Okay, I got project into FCP X. Free at last, free at last, thank god almighty, from FCP 7 I’m free at last!
