I have a show that I need to export with an alpha channel. I’m editing at Prores 4444 but the device supposedly can’t support Prores. The tech Director gave me these supported file types for the device that will be playing the file:

    Video: HP@HL up to High Profile 1080P (1920×1080) ;  MPG4 (H.264) high level up to 33 MBps ; MPG2 high level up to 50 MBps ; WMV 720P up to 10 MBps
    Audio: Wave / PCM / MP3 / AAC / MIDI
Still Images: Bitmap / Jpeg / Gif / Tiff
Composite: HTML / Flash (FLV not accepted)

Is there anything there I can accomplish this with? Any help would be appreciated. Deadline is end of the week.

MPEG 4, MPEG2, and WMV do not support alpha channels. What is HP@HL? h.264? Yeah, that doesn’t either.

The ONLY thing in that list is going to be a TIFF file – that supports an Alpha Channel.

I’d You’re going to have to call him and explain this to him.

What’s the “Device?” Why the Alpha channel?
