Exporting widescreen slideshows (16×9) from Premiere Pro
Is is possible to export to an mpeg an adobe premiere slideshow which is a real 16×9, not a 4×3 with top and bottom screen bars?

Yes. Are you starting with 16:9 footage? Or do you have 4:3 footage that you want to crop to 16:9?

Yes, I have 16×9 images for the slideshow.
p.s. I also have 4:3 video as well but for this DVd I’ll be using it in its native form. However, in the future, I do want to experiment with cropping video to 16:9. Thanks for your help.

So basically, you want to export a 16:9 widescreen MPEG2 for a DVD. No problem.

I’ve tried to do the export but I always get an 4:3 mpg with top and bottom bars. What are the steps I need to do the export and are there any plugins I need?

Stop asking for a 4:3 – set the options to widescreen – using a 1.2 pixel aspect ratio.
