  Exporting to tape problem

  when trying to export to tape in premiere pro 1.5, 2.0,cs3, windows movie maker, amd sony vegas, all it recorded only a blue screen.I think its something with the computer. not the fire card. It is the SIIG Firewire 800 expresscard. I tried the 800 port, and the 400 port with different cables. I installed the driver and it did not help.( I have a compaq presario2.0 ghz, 2 gb ram, vx2000, and a zr85) any adivce?
