Exporting to Mini-DVD from Encore CS5?
I’m working on a couple of commercials and the client asked for a copy on mini-dvd (and yes I confirmed mini-dvd and not mini-dv).
I’m using a dynamic link from Premiere CS5 and can burn regular DVDs just fine. However, when putting in this mini-dvd it doesn’t show up. The only disc options are dvd, blu-ray, and flash. Under Disc Info Settings the available sizes remain the three defaults.
So I put in custom and entered 1.4gb because it seemed logical. I did a check and there were no errors, and then burned the disc and it all went through.
Here is where the problem comes in, I put the mini-dvd back in to play and nothing. My computer doesn’t even recognize a disc in the tray. I tested on a dvd player and the same result.
Oddly when putting a blank disc in, my computer prompts me that it’s blank and able to burn.
So am I missing a setting here? Are Mini-DVDs compatible to burn with Encore?

They should just burn like a 4.7 disc but less space.
Create files and burn it with another software?Chris Tompkins
