Exporting TO HD 264 from Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.5
I am at a total loss to understand why all files that I have converted will not playback on my computer
Having checked the file in AVI codec, it says that the codecs are unrecognised.
The set up for export is
Format H264
Preset HDTV 1080p 25 high qualityVideo Settings
Codec Main Concept H264 videoPAL
1920x 1080

What player are you using to attempt playback of the files?
And, more importantly, are you indicating that you’re wrapping the H.264 export in an avi container? You are best use the straight up h.264 format option (.mp4) in that case. Then you should have far fewer issues.

Thanks for your response.
I have tried lots including Videolan none of which recognise the file format.
I am using the only available HD264 export option in Premiere Pro.
