September 12, 2007 at 12:06 pmI know this is a v.stupid q.
I understand that Flash video has to be embedded in a .swf file/webpage. Without putting it on a web page, is there a way to send Flash video for client reviews? iow, can I just create a .swf file and upload that to an FTP site, and have the client download the .swf? Or does the whole “magic” of Flash require a streaming connection.
I’m always amazed when I think of the time it takes me to upload/download a relatively low-res video in .wmv, compared to the incredible quality that you see from a streaming Flash webpage.

September 12, 2007 at 12:43 pmYou can export an .flv file. If the client has a Flash player he can play it. If he doesn’t have a stand-alone one he can download a number of free players from the web.
All the best,

September 12, 2007 at 9:02 pmAfter Effects has export options for both swf and flv files. I think you can use the render queue or just go to the export menu…
