  • Exporting to DVD? Quicktime Error #0 when using compressor! Sucks . . .

Okay im in fcp 5.1, and using compressor 2 to export to a dvd 4.6G. Im using a bit rate of 4.0 to 7.0,

I compress, and the audio goes great, when its time for the m2v (video), it fails and says a quicktime error #0. Why is this? quicktime works great. On top of that compressor says the time for it to finish encoding would be 23 hours, it usually goes up to 260 frames on my video and then does that.

Any help? Should I downgrade to compressor 1?

What computer, what OS? Compressor works flawlessly on all four of our desktop and laptop systems.

I fixed the problem! Thanks Guys. But!!!

Is there any other encoding software out there for the Mac? This is sooo slow. At my job we encode off tape decks using Visaro and it takes however long the tape is, why is that? its so much faster than compressor, should i export to tape, then encode at my job to save time?

Have a look at Main Concept Coder and at BitVice, both have demo versions for download. Main Concept is fast!
