I need to export a timeline from FCP 4.5 to a .dv file (why is irrelevant, the client requested it and it’s her business however she deals with it). I’m on a MacBook Pro. It works fine, but as I’ve read in a few threads, my 13’46” timeline results in a good 18′ .dv file (that I can open in QT and even edit, but only to save as a .mov – not what I need). Where are these extra (and heavy) minutes of black coming from? Thanks you guys, what a great place here. Michael

Do you have iMovie on your machine? You can edit it there.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Thanks Rafael, that did the trick. iMovie is way too far in the past for me. MPEGStramclip worked perfectly, quick and easy. Thanks again!

    > Movie is way too far in the past for me.< Ah, yes. My mistake for thinking you were looking for something you already had and that was super simple to use. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
