    Hi there,
I’m looking for some advice on exporting to 16:9 please. I’m exporting at 1920/1080.
In the past, there have been times where everything has looked ok on my pc yet after exporting a head may be partially chopped off or the aspect ratio doesn’t look the way it did on export.

Is there any way I can get an accurate preview before exporting so that I can see that everything looks the way it should do?

N.B. I’m planning on authoring via Cyberlink Power Producer 6 this time as Premiere Pro.CC doesn’t seem to have any dvd software attached.

Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated

There should be a preview window on the left side of your export screen in Premiere. Since the pixel aspect ratio for DVDs is different than for HD, you will likely want to select the “Scale to Fill” or “Stretch to Fill” option from the drop down menu above the preview.

Premiere doesn’t do DVD authoring, but if you have a Creative Cloud subscription you can download Adobe Encore. In that case, you could probably just import the Premiere sequence directly into Encore, eliminating the step of exporting the video.

Export – choosing the DVD mpeg2 option. Once the DVD compliant files are ready, import them into Adobe Encore or your choice app for Disc authoring.
