Was wondering what compression would be best for this situation:

My boss wants to be able to see the video/interviews I’ve shot. I want to put these clips into QT movies. Looking for something that has good quality, but also small file size. Needs to be at least 50% of original viewing size (maybe 540 x something?) Would I use Compressor or export to QT conversion or QT movie?

    Thanks for any input

The way I do this is to do the following:

    Select timeline…

    File
    Export
    Quicktime Movie
    Dialog box comes up…
Make sure it says Quicktime Movie in the export and change the format below to BROADBAND HIGH

    then,
    Click the OPTIONS button
Click on SIZE and adjust the size to match the aspect ratio.

    Close
    Close

Let it go for a bit… will take a while. This gives you the h.264 format which is beautiful and at 480x??? will be about 3.5 megs per minute.

    Good luck,

    Thanks, Captain.

    I’ll try it out.
