    Hello There,

I’m adding subtitles to a whole bunch of footage, many clips, many languages, etc.

Everyone seems to have been quite good when it comes to providing unified formats, etc. as requested.

Only hiccup is I’m working in FCP (7), and whilst all the regional subtitlers have been good in providing me with fcp sequences with the subtitles on text layers, one has provided me with an After Effects sequence.

Does anyone have an easy solution for importing a text layer from AE into FCP?

I’m really hoping not to render out a hard layer with text only on Alpha, as part of my deliverables is FCP sequences, with editable text boxes, and also hoping not to have to manually input every text box based on copying across text matched up to timecode.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    1000 thanks!

    A

I’m not sure wether AE6 is capable of exporting XML files, but I think that would be the way to go if you want to be able to edit the text on FCP track.

    Good luck with that!

After Effects does not export text layers as editable text.
