exporting text subtitle file from avid
Hi,
I’m trying to export my subtitles from an Avid project as a text file that I can then convert to a stl file that I can import into DVD Studio Pro. The text file needs to include inpoint, outpoint and subtitle line. Anyone know how to do this?

I am trying to bring the subtitles I made in Avid into DVD Studio Pro’s subtitle track. Ideally this would be done in such a way that I could edit the subtitles in DVD Studio Pro if needed. So, initially I need to figure out how to export a text file for the subtitles in my Avid project.

Good day Lucia6,
The one way that I know how to export title out of AVID is from inside Title Tool itself. You would have to open each title and then right click the mouse and select export title, but it only exports the title as a pict file. Also, once you have done that, it will not allow you to edit the text, you’d have to go back into Title Tool to do that.
