  • exporting stills… is there a quicker way

    Hi
I need to select 100’s if not 1000’s of stills from some dv footage. Is the only way to export using quicktime conversion? It take too long.Even if I could keep the format to still image instead of having to change the format every time it would take one stage out of the process. Is there a script I could use, or a plug in?? Thanks!!

Nope…sorry. There are no scripts…automator does not work with FCP, and no plugins exist for this. This is a manual thing, and I agree, it is a pain. It would REALLY help if when choosing export, it defaulted to the last export type you just did.

Use Quicktime Pro to export an image sequence and then choose the files you want. You can set up actions in Photoshop to batch process the files you choose.
