  • Exporting still image field/interlace problem

    Hi guys and gals.
Just a question regarding field/interlace issues in FCP.
I am trying to export stills from footage shot on DV (both mini and DVCpro) and with all manner of options experimented with I keep getting a really horrible comb type interlaced image. I have tried turning fields on and off in the sequence settings, exporting with and without interlace and tried changing the default dv rendering with FCP to progressive from interlaced but still get the exact same result every time.
The reason I’m exporting is to animate the stills for a client in after effects. They normally have supplied me with the images already but I don’t seem to be able to get things to work myself. Suggestions?

I generally just export the still image as-is from the timeline, then deinterlace in photoshop (filters>>video>>deinterlace). Usually works okay.
