Whenever I export video, it’s always huge. So I can’t upload to email clients or post online because it’s just too huge. What settings do I need to change to still have reasonable quality and a smaller size.

Compressor has many presets for what you want to do.

How long is your video? If it is of a decent length then you may never be able to get it small enough to email to a client.

    Paul,
There is a article of Ken Stone: QuickTime pro-QT Movies from FC. Its explains everything about how to prepair clips for the web. A classic in Ken Stone web site.

Use Quicktime conversion to export. Choose H.264 for compression type and 320×240 for size. Also use the QT settings to change your audio to mono, this will help the file size a great deal. For a :30 sec spot the resulting file should be easy to email, you might even be able to increase the size to 480×360 as most email servers can handle up to 10 MB files. If you still need to reduce size try changing the frame rate to 15. For much longer sequences you will need to post to an ftp site.

    Good luck
