    Hi Guys,
I am trying to export several 2 minute selected scenes from a long documentary.
I have tried copying the clip, cmd a, then opening up a new project and pasting, but the aspect ratio hasn’t transferred.
The image is small and when I transform to full screen, it looks like it’s blown up.

I have also tried to copy whole project then delete the stuff I don’t want, leaving the clip I want to export but this takes ages to copy.

    Is there a quicker way?

    Any help would be fantastic,
    Thank you.

    Dan.

Just exporting a selected range isn’t working fro you?

    Thanks for the post Jeff,
I was under the impression the only way to export was to do it from the project window. Is there a way to do from the timeline?

    Cheers,
    Dan.

Unless we’re talking at cross purposes, you just open the timeline, select a range and choose your appropriate share option – Final Cut will export just the selected range.

    Thanks for that Jeff,
I can see now that it can be done!
Thanks very much for that. Is it a recent update? I couldn’t find anything online that shows you how to do that, just lots of annoyed editors saying you can’t.

    Thanks again,
    Dan.

And before that you didn’t have to export from the project library. But you couldnt’ do a range select.
