Exporting single frame
I’ve been using my AE CS4 to create stills since my old Photoshop no longer functions and funds not available for the newer copy.
It works but I haven’t found the right combinations (if any) to export the frame with high quality, especially the text. Have tried: export sequence; jpeg, etc., render; as jpg, tiff, mov, psd, etc. Even tried converting text to a shape as well as trying 8 and 16bpc. They all come out with low quality.
Is it possible?

Make sure Render Settings is set to ‘Best’, not ‘Current’ in the render queue.

Did that too. Maybe due to using ‘warp’ effect on text is the cause. Tried one without and had better results but really wanted to curve the text.

You could try working in a comp that is 2x or 3x the size you need and then render out to the required frame size, or drop that comp into a smaller comp and render the smaller comp.
