Exporting Quicktimes
I am just getting back into the editing industry after a five year absence. I was extremely proficient on Media Composer, outputting to videotape.
Now, I’m getting up to speed on Final Cut and I’m overwhelmed by exporting options and problems. Can someone point me to a place I can get help with Tapeless Workflow?

What kind of footage are you working with, and how do you expect to deliver your movies?

I am using a 1080i60 timeline. But in addition to 1080i60 footage, I have 1080i30 and 24fps footage. The biggest problem I’m having is stepping in the pans and zooms, particularly with the 24fps.

Your problem is not about exporting or codecs, but about basic knowledge on FC.
You simply can not mix stuff stuff with different time-base in FC. Convert everything to a common one.

Yes, I am definitely in need of more knowledge on FC. What is the best way to convert the footage?

You need to convert your p24 stuff to p30; then you can put the p30 footage in a i60 sequence without problems.
You can use Compressor or MPGStreamclip to go p24 to p30.
