exporting quicktime from Avid Adrenaline
First time trying to do this. I tried exporting a sequence as a Quicktime file from Avid Adrenaline, then imported Quicktime file to use in Final Cut. thought it would be simple. Not so. Movie wouldn’t play in FCP and prompted me to go find the right codec. Went too Avid sight and downloaded Meridien codec for Quicktime. Best I would figure out. Still doesn’t play the Avid movie.
Any suggestions?

The Meridien codecs are quite old.
BUT do not try to use this file within FCP. It won’t work well. Use Compressor to convert it to a codec optimized for use in FCP (Uncompressed 8 or 10 bit, DV, DV50)
